Accident reconstruction. Analyzing and obtaining legal documents from recording police departments that explain the details of what took place at the time of law enforcements response, including:

Number of vehicles involved, extent of damage, if any vehicles involved were damaged to the point of having to be towed from a scene. Direction of travel of each vehicle at the time of incident. Names or all parties involved including passengers. If recording officer has placed blame on any motorist involved and what that blame was. Scene visits to photograph and document the details of the roadway, road surface anomalies, signage (stop, yield, posted speed limit, one-way streets etc.), and a detailed description of the scene including photographs.

Document retrieval: Obtaining Police Accident Reports, body camera recordings, Aided Reports, Hospital and Medical Records with pertinent HIPPA documents.

Interviews with clients and witnesses: Client interviews are done to confirm Date / Time / and Location of incidents, and it is crucial that these interviews are done prior to scene visits as it eliminates doing work twice. Witnesses provided are always contacted over the phone on a controlled recording to obtain their account of what happened, what they observed, including ear witnesses, that may be helpful in placing clients on work sites, especially if they are day laborers, etc. At the end of the conversation investigators request to meet with any and all witness to obtain a written statement that can be notarized and entered into evidence as a witness affidavit.

Photograph and video evidence:

• Every incident scene gets photographed in detail. Motor vehicle accident photographs include scene photographs such as traffic lanes, posted signage and lane configuration.
• Sidewalk defects include pictures and measurements of each defect with confirmation from clients to make certain that the correct addresses and
  locations can be obtained. Workplace accidents will include photographs showing the outside of the address where this took place.

Insurance Claim Assistance: Helping clients navigate the claims process and negotiate with insurance companies, which includes personal injury clients who come to CLS for guidance in pairing them with a law firm that specializes in their case needs.

Expert Testimonies: Our senior investigators have been trained in investigations, many with an NYPD detective background, including courtroom testimony in both criminal and civil cases.

Surveillance: CLS investigators are trained in surveillance methods and gathering evidence to help prove clients’ claims of injury.

Entity Reports: Entity reports are conducted at the request of law firms and once the address is confirmed by the client and or field investigators an entity report can be done by CLS administrative analysts.

The entity report includes:

• Property Owner information
• Deed to the property being researched
• Contractors and sub-contractors who have worked at the site in question
• Building Permits that have been obtained for work at the property in question
• Violations on the property in question
• Complaints made against or on the property in question
